How To Decorate A Farmhouse Living Room
Farmhouse & country style is all the rage these days thanks to TV shows like HGTV’s Fixer Upper. It’s a fun, vintage looks that emulates feelings of the good old days, while still giving a room an updated “of this century” feel. Client often ask how to incorporate a little farmhouse vintage look into their own homes. While it certainly would be helpful if the home was in fact a farm (that’s only happened once to me as a designer and it was my own parents farm), you can work in some fun decor and accents a little at a time as you transition from whatever your current design style to a farmhouse look.
When you’re looking to make a change, one of the first rooms that gets updated is the living room and for good reason. It’s likely the room you spend the majority of your time in, certainly where you entertain guests, would be the most visible and highly trafficked.
